Warwick Castle

The long history of Warwick Castle mirrors the history of England from the 10th Century when Ethelfleda, daughter of Alfred the Great, ordered the building of an earthen rampart in 914 to protect the small hill top settlement of Warwick against the threat of Danish invaders.... right up to the introduction of electricity to the Castle in 1894, bringing the Castle to the forefront of Victorian technology.
