Burke and Hare are back and open for business at the Edinburgh Dungeon this Easter the city’s its most terrifying feature yet: Burke and Hare: the Business of Murder.
A dank graveyard awaits visitors to the Dungeon as they enter the damned territory of Scotland’s most infamous serial killers. Here petrified punters will be hurled into the horrendous tale of Burke and Hare’s dark deeds in the 1800s . . . and will encounter the enterprising gentlemen for themselves!
The Edinburgh Dungeon invites you to a feast of fun with history’s horrible bits. Live actors, an eerie ride, shows and special effects transport you back to the darkest chapters of Scotland’s gruesome history. Begin your journey by entering a 17th century court of law were an eccentric judge will haul you into the dock, the verdict is always guilty and the punishment harsh! You’ll also be exposed to torture, ghosts, grave robbing, the plague, cannibalism and of course murder!
See William Wallace invade the Edinburgh Dungeon. Feel the passion of Scotland’s warrior hero as you experience the glory of victory against the English at the Battle of Stirling Bridge. Discover the pain of Wallace’s downfall and then cower as you witness the terrible fate of Scotland’s bravest patriot at his brutal and bloody execution in London.
Encounter cannibals and clansmen, torture and plague as you journey deeper into the Dungeon. Embark upon an eerie boat ride, enter the Haunted Labyrinth and try to escape the heat and chaos of Edinburgh's Great Fire in the Inferno. Are you brave enough?
Extremis: Drop Ride to Doom
Murderers, smugglers, criminals and cannibals have all felt the burn of the Grassmarket noose, now your time has come. Taste the fear and feel the adrenaline pump as you drop screaming into the darkness below on Extremis: Drop ride to Doom!
