A dramatic redevelopment of the former Brighton Aquarium…the oldest seaside aquarium in Britain…this Centre’s high-tech displays amidst ornate historic architecture, are teeming with thousands of astonishing sea creatures. The ocean tank is one of the largest in Britain, and is home to tropical sharks and two large sea turtles. New this year…Serpents of The Sea, including deadly sea snakes.

Our fantastic new feature showcases eels, snakes and all things serpent-like from beneath the waves. Many are brightly coloured, others verge on the bizarre…and one or two are deadly!
The oldest aquarium in Britain is inviting visitors to literally get lost this year, with the unveiling of a dizzying mirror maze with a rainforest theme – Amazonia.
There will also of course be a variety of Amazon creatures to discover as explorers try to navigate from entrance to exit.
The beautiful Victorian architecture of this fine old building is complemented by high tech displays allowing all round viewing, including a walk-through underwater tunnel.
This year we invite you to take a journey into the oceans depths in a brand new Submarine Adventure where you will travel along the seabed and meet some creatures of the deep. Beware…some of them may not be so happy to see you though. Will you survive…we’ll decide!
Learn about the shoreline creatures at one of our rockpool talks. Enjoy watching shark and turtle feeding presentations and you can even hand-feed the rays!
Brighton SEA LIFE Centre is the most successful marine life aquarium on the South Coast…and without doubt the most spectacular.
Housed in an elegant 150-year-old seafront building, the Centre combines ornate Victorian architecture with stunning hi-tech’ displays housing literally thousands of native sea creatures.
Displays of all shapes and sizes invite visitors to enjoy close encounters with everything from shrimps and starfish to rays, conger eels, catfish, octopus and sharks.
A gigantic walkthrough ocean display re-creates a Tropical Reef environment similar to the crystal clear reefs of the Maldive islands in the Indian Ocean.
This spectacular marine habitat is patrolled by sea turtles Jersey the loggerhead, and Lulu the green turtle…as well as around 1,500 other colourful creatures.
More than 20 other displays guarantee a memorable voyage of exploration and discovery for visitors of all ages, with regular talks and feeding demonstrations providing an even deeper insight into the marvels of the marine world.
Don’t miss the incredible Claws exhibition, with its collection of crazy crustaceans from around the world…or Octopus Challenge, starring a Giant Pacific Octopus who proves he’s a lot smarter than the average sea creature!
